Permissions

If you are seeking permission to copy, reproduce, or republish content from NEJM Evidence and you are not the author of the content, you may request permission using the Copyright Clearance Center’s RightsLink® service.

Authors of an NEJM Evidence article may find more information regarding reuse rights for their article in Author Permissions on the Author Center.

Submit your permission request using RightsLink®

Once you have located the content for which you are seeking reuse permission, follow these simple steps:

• Click on the © icon that represents Permissions in the toolbar to the left of the article.
• The RightsLink® window will pop up with information about the content you have selected.
• Follow the prompts to select the options that best suit your needs.
• The system will either provide you with an immediate price quote or direct your request to the NEJM Group Permissions Department for review and processing through the RightsLink® interface.
• When prompted to continue, either sign in to your existing RightsLink® account, or create a new account and follow the prompts to secure permission.
• Confirmation of your permission and related terms and conditions will be sent instantly via email for most requests. Some requests may require Publisher review.

Reuse of content within a thesis or dissertation

Content (full-text or portions thereof) may be used in print and electronic versions of a dissertation or thesis without formal permission from the Massachusetts Medical Society, Publisher of NEJM Evidence.

Third-party content

Grants of permission apply only to copyrighted materials that the Massachusetts Medical Society owns and not to copyrighted texts or illustrations from other sources.

NEJM Group Commercial Use Guidelines

NEJM Group products include the New England Journal of Medicine, NEJM Evidence, NEJM Catalyst, NEJM Journal Watch, and NEJM Yi Xue Qian Yan. NEJM Group is a division of the Massachusetts Medical Society.

NEJM Group content is protected by copyright. While many NEJM Group content items such as articles, figures, tables, videos, and podcasts are free online, NEJM Group content is for personal, non-commercial use in accordance with copyright law.

The following uses require permission from NEJM Group:

• Copying or downloading of content for redistribution by a commercial organization
• The inclusion or incorporation of content in other works or services (other than normal quotations with an appropriate citation) that are made available by a commercial organization for informational or educational purposes
